You could always try bringing an assassin or any /A thing with a Reusable rez
Have it be A/mo with Shadow Meld and rebirth Cast Shadow Meld Before you go to difficult battles so no matter what happens he can always escape and bring you all back to life. Atleast thats waht I did in normal Mode for when my assassin only had the first armor,,,what was that 25 armor -_-

And Eternal Grove Hard Mode masters is impossible I think 0_O you need like 3 MM's and 2 Spikers or something and Lots of MONKS.

They didn't seem to do anything extra. Not like it mattered, Dorian and his mob just ran straight through the seige zones extremely fast, couldn't hit them with more than 1 Seige every zone.

Haven't gone very far in hard mode yet, but had this experience. Vanquished Plains of Jarin with myself as barrager, Olias as MM, Koss, and Tahlkora. Only one slightly dicey place (ranger still has 600K to go for lengendary survivor so I remember things like this ), the mandragors over near the boss -- had four spawns hit very fast, one after the other. Still nothing I couldn't handle by running away and stretching them out.

So, decided I'd try vanquishing Cliffs of Dohjok. Left Champion's Dawn with the same group, dodged everything under right outside Beknur Harbor (wanted as many bounties as I could get). Took on a group of 3 skale (had killed many groups like that in Plains of Jarin -- no trouble). Koss rushes in, all three skale ignore him, run around and converge on Olias. Three or four hits later, he's down, Tahlkora's next -- she doesn't last much longer. At this point, I hit natural stride and run my (still) surviving butt back to Beknur Harbor -- didn't even trust that I'd have enough time to map back. As I'm running, Koss goes down almost instantly. Quite an eye opener.

Re-formed in Beknur's and came back out as a party of 8. Vanquished it that time. But the difference in difficulty between the 2 nearby regions was amazing.

Some of my experiences thus far with HM

Nightfallen Jahai - Is it necessary for Arms to have Lightning reflexes and Call to torment? If you cant break the stance be prepared for the Arm uprising! CTT is a bitch in regular mode but in HM it is just devastating.

While Vanquishing the Zones on NF n00b isle I noticed the bosses there were insanely easy to drop. BUffed HP and speed but nothin else - AI is brutal.

Tried to get to the "do not open" chest in Forum Highlands. The monk boss (Sadi-Belai) and his group in front of it are damn near impossible to kill. I tried 4 different setups (heroes & hench) and failed everytime. This ties in with my previous comment about bosses - some are dumb in HM and some are just WAY TO TOUGH. The Margo Warrior boss (Grabthar the Overbearing) and his group are also damn near impossible to kill without 8 wipes and 50 clovers.

Random notes:

- Speed buffs on ALL enemies are retarded.

- Locked chests in HM SHOULD NOT DROP GRAPES! (1500 gp for a purple, non max, req 13 FDS - Real nice Anet) The rate at which these break in HM should be looked at. I used 57 lockpicks this weekend, I have lvl 3 in Wisdom and Treasure hunter titles (giving me a 19% to retain), 54 of 57 broke first try...

- Mandragor pop up groups should be looked at in some of the earlier NF areas. I was Vanquishing Mehtani Keys and twice hit a pop-up group of 8 Mandragor pop-ups (lvl 24-26) that required multiple wipes to take out. Speed buffs make them imposible to run from.

Thats it for now.

PS - I WANT WANT MY SOLO FARMING BACK ANET!!!!

Those last 3 dryders eluded me for some time But I got em

(Also vanquished some areas near Lions Arch with henchies and did the Northern Wall mission lol)

My favorite was spending so much time on stupid grawls...laughing out loud (and completely confusing my wife) and then I get taken down by a bunch of caffine high char.... running from them at the end of the mission made me laugh.

Hmm I actually almost made it through Vizunah with an awesome monk and me and guildie. We cleared everything, and fast too, but we got too enthusiastic in the end and the shiro'ken boss OWNED US ><.
Well that was my hard mode horror story for sure

T_T

I just went into Sunqua Vale solo with my sin, figured I could just pick off mantids 1 at a time there kinda seperate and Lure anything else with a longbow.

Boom Mantid Monk comes and startes smiting, with this 50% spell AND recharge everything is a machinegun hitting every second its the equivalent of like 50 pips of Degeneration getting 60/100 damage every second constantly by just 2 enemies isn't hard just absurd.

Now my hardest hard mode experience is trying to find people to do any of the in hard mode missions with.

Found 1 guy who was charging to do HM Ruins of Morah Masters. I hired him and he beat it with himself and 3 of his Heroes in 4:02, and he wasted some time at the start too so I'm sure it had the potential to be much faster even than that. I didn't even do a darn thing to help at all. Kinda funny how the HM Master for that is under 10 and it can be done in under 4 with only 4 characters participating in the battle.

I went around to a whole bunch of missions all over the place and couldn't find anyone interested in doing hard mode. Found a party for HM Consulate Docks, that was very easy to beat with Masters reward.

Was able to get HM Gates of Desolation Masters with heroes and hench although it was a bit rough going relying on hench vs. bosses in the on-foot part at the start.

Chabek Village was really easy to get Masters with Heroes.

Blacktide Den wasn't too hard to get Masters on in HM.

Great Northern Wall was still really easy to get Masters on in HM - I never even saw the supposedly extra-fast pursuing Charr on my screen at all. I just cast Avatar of Balthazar and off I went. The scorpions were still hitting me and I couldn't out run them, so I hit 'em with Aura of Thorns and then that mission was done easy as pie. Although the AI did run into a bit of a snag with the two grawls camping a hill with one of them being a monk, and the scorpion boss right near them. After the AI got themselves owned due to not knowing how to cope with different elevations (always been a problem well-before HM came out), I just flagged them right into the door with the scorpion boss and ignored those hill-camping grawls entirely.

Other than that, I have no clue how to go about beating the other missions on Masters in HM since nobody in any of the zones is looking to do hard mode. I think my new strategy will be to wait around in town til I see people who make money off doing missions for people, and then negotiate with them to help me get it done in HM. I would prefer to be able to play it normally with other HM players, though. But since that's not viable it seems alternative tactics are in order.

Question... why in gods name are you using Debilitating Shot? You can't E-denial enemies with that... And why no prep :S

But still, nice job with the clearance of Perdition with henchman not heros.

Just cleared Snake Dance... 324 enemies. Minus a few popups. My god it took a while!

The necro boss in Sulferous Wastes that is surrounded by a horde of undead, including two healers with rezes, was brutal. His spells hit really hard, and it seems like focusing on stopping anything in the group just got me destroyed by something else. Eventually I just found a way to keep myself and my heroes in wurms while my henchies pulled him as far south as he will go, which is just in range of the wurms if you're careful enough. Took me a long while to vanquish that zone, but it was fun.

Lol, when the game had just updated that thursday evening, and I ran out into the Ascalon area, encountered by the level 23 Devourer that I totally wasn't expecting....it killed me so fast... . Then I wised up and brought 3 other peeps.

Other than that, Guardian hasn't been too bad, just have to take things super slow and make sure to aggro as little as possible.

And yes, the Monks are a pain in the buttox.

Your only chance is to draw aggro from someone and let them beat on you until Smash very slowly charges. You said they were well out of range, so I guess you were stuck

However, "Make Your Time" and Signet of aggression would work too, but I realize people rarely have them.

Confessor Dorian, in D'Alessio Seaboard... He dies before you can save him every time!? How is his one healing spell supposed to defend him against 5-6 ghouls who can easily triple his healing damage wise... Anet did not test this hard mode on all missions, I can tell you that.

heh, mine is really sad, i had just beaten shiro for masters in hm and decided to play around in factions a little more, stepped outside of ran musu garden to toy with tahkayun. Didnt realized he was surrounded by nothing but monks and necros at first. Needless to say the 3 heros i had with me just didnt cut it.

Protecting Confessor Dorian in D'Alessio Seabord mission. In normal mode the down time between mobs advancing is actually hard to cope with. You typically have at least on impatient guy running down to meet them, instead of waiting at the top. Not in Hard Mode. In HM there was only one brief pause between waves, and that gave me just enough time to pick up a drop. The next wave crashed in on us. Grasps, Sorcerers, and multiple monks removing hexes at a staggering rate. I looked around and saw the party falling. My own energy depleating. There was a boss there who could replenish my res sig if... he... would... just... die!!! In the end it was me who was facing the dirt. Our party was 1/2 player and 1/2 heroes. Maybe if we try again will a full party compliment we will come out on top. I guess we'll see.

Well, I have now finished all Tyria missions in hard mode. Everything was quite easy, the hardest i've seen was Sanctum Cay where the whole party got whiped in the end and I managed to keep up the guy fixing the ship with my last bits of energy just long enough to get on it..
I dont really understand what was hard about D'alessio seaboard, flawlessed that mission with me as the only monk. I guess these party's just take too much defense and too little offence, so you cant kill the 1st mob before the 2nd comes.
